Camp 07 Project- 2nd mile journey.....

Tonight the 2 CGs voted in favor of organising Camp07. I was glad to hear of many who felt the Lord speaking to them specifically on this matter - also very encouraged by the newer members' response to the project. Some of these responses were - being open to serving Him(AG), the commitment of the CGs(JT), the 2005 camp project was pleasing to Him (SW); this project will allow us to experience him in a personal manner(JL).... As pple shared, I detect a sense of calling to this project and a spirit of unity & purpose from all. Indeed He has prepared all to respond in this manner something that was different to what we thought, pple felt weeks ago.....

I shared with all that Camp 07 project will be our second mile journey of service for HIM. Lets contd to pray that He will bless the camp organizers as much as the campers in this life changing camp...may we humble ourselves to serve Him selflessly. PTL!!!!

This morning met with Wei Hao and he introduced me to this book, “The second mile people by Isobel Kuhn” which blessed him much. As he shared, I sensed that there was a message from the Lord for me. This book details the 6 2nd mile people that influenced her. I was impressed and read some portions of the book later. These words shout out to me: “If someone forces you to go one mile, go with him two miles” - Matthew 5:41
Today one finds a general apathy in the church, an unspoken feeling that one mile for the Saviour is quite sufficient! The writer has more than once heard this remark.
“I am afraid of what He might ask me to give up, or to do!” There seems to be a fear of the “second mile”.

As I reflected over the message and what it means to the CG, these thoughts came to my mind:
We have walked the first mile (by organizing Camp05) ………
The question to all of us is ….Will we take the second mile for Jesus sake?
Why??????
As an offering to God that you and I may bring for the good of His Kingdom!
I sensed this message needs to be shared with the CG this Saturday……what a timely message for the need of the hour!

Visit of an Old friend

July 11 - today my ex boss TW visited us in our new office while he was in town from USA....it was good catching up. He made u feel that important ...caring for our well being...still "like the old boss without the title but as a friend. a reminder that the person is so much more impt than the position. I could see happy and glad faces in office when they saw him. A gd reminder that we seek to build our own "substance" or personality rather than just the position that we are in.
what "legacy" do we leave behind......

July 3-5

july 3-5 i took a short trip to XM, PRC. on the way & back listened to Ps Edmund Chan's message on Eccl 4. He preached on the imptce of Community and Humility both interdependent of each other. I was reminded that cell groups exist to grow: impact and influence each other and pple around us. We cannot be contented with just caring for ea other and neglect to influence our world. the CG exist to influence our values from each other rather than allow our values be influenced by mess-media. pray that our CG will not be spiritual cliques that choose to stay in comfort zones and not to impact ea other for Christ sake.
